Coaches

IDHL COACHES

The Ice Dogs have assembled one of the finest coaching staffs in the area. Their accolades range from local Tier II hockey to players in the NHL. The coaches at each level of the IDHA will be supervised by Eric Schneider, Hockey Director for IDHA, to ensure quality and compliance with the standards and philosophy of the Ice Dogs Hockey League.

PARENT COACHES

Hockey is a great family sport and parent coaches are wanted and welcomed! As a parent coach, you will be required to attend a USA Hockey coaching seminar.  Registration for these seminars are done directly through AHAI (Amateur Hockey Association of Illinois) on their website www.ahai.org  Classes begin in August or September usually, so register early (online registration is the only option and it begins early in August)  These classes fill up quickly so register EARLY.
This is mandatory for all coaches!
Please remember that volunteering as a parent coach, requires a certain amount of time dedicated to the kids. IDHL parent coaches are expected to reinforce the philosophies and strategies of the IDHL as determined primarily by our professional staff. Please volunteer only if you are able to do so in a manner consistent with the IDHL’s objectives.

In order to improve the Ice Dogs Hockey League, Bob Scott, the League Coordinator, will be chairing both a Parents Advisory committee as well as a Coaches Committee.

Parent Coaches are important to the success of the IDHL. We need your help!
